The interpretations of both the Alart Quartet and the duo Colomé-Michel display great subtlety and impeccable quality, making this a very recommendable recording. Both discs are rounded off with the program notes of Xosé Aviñoa, profesor at Barcelona’s University, which offer insight and information on the work of Pau Casals as a composer.
